What is a Plug and Play Accommodation?

PBSA has two common types of accommodation, a private self-contained studio or an en-suite apartment.  An en-suite is always part of a cluster, the number of en-suites in each cluster depends on the development, there could be five, six or up to nine en-suites in one cluster, which all share a communal lounge, dining and kitchen area suitable for that number of people.  This is so ideal for a group of friends or for making new friends.

A PBSA studio is a private, peaceful self-contained haven, offering students all the modern conveniences and creature comforts of home.  A comfortable space for relaxing, studying, cooking & dining.

There is plenty of storage space for cloths and belongings – even with an avg. of 21sqm – with space-saving wall cabinets and shelving.

The kitchenette has everything the student requires, oven, hob, microwave, all electrical appliances such as kettle, toaster as well as, all crockery and cutlery.

A modern fully fitted bathroom, with sink, toilet and shower completes this self-contained student dwelling.

En-suites are well thought-through given the small living-space. High importance is given to the study area, where the wall(s) around the desk & chair have ample shelving or cabinets to keep work hidden and stored safely.  There is ample storage for clothes and belongings, as well as a modern fully-fitted bathroom – shower, toilet and sink.

In both PBSA types high-spec furniture: double bed, wardrobe, desk, chair is complemented with trendy artwork & a modern-style of soft-furnishing.

PBSA developments can be a mix of the above types or a single-type, e.g. an all studio development.  Either way, what students look at, more now than ever before, is the facilities this weekly-rent gives them access too for no extra cost.

For students wellbeing and convenience many offer: a gymnasium – some even a fitness studio for yoga and palates – quiet study areas, inside and outside in communal gardens, social areas/lounges, for get-together’s & dinning, cinema rooms, a laundry room and bike stores. And all importantly for the modern day student hi-speed WIFI is an absolute must.
