For 14 years I worked directly for an off-plan holiday-home developer in the Algarve, Portugal. I am still fascinated by peoples desire to buy second homes: a holiday home in Portugal was not just selling bricks and mortar, but selling a dream, a lifestyle – a home-away-from-home. A buy to let property is a-head-not-a-heart-buy and again not just about the bricks and mortar, but owning a valuable asset that will provide annual profit.
On my return from Portugal in 2013 I joined REW. I was impressed with the clever investment model that UK developers had created between themselves and the investor, and also the products that were available within the different property sectors.
