Salford is an area of Greater Manchester, England, west of Manchester city centre in a meander of the River Irwell, which forms part of its boundary with Manchester. Salford Quays is a highly accessible ‘gateway’ location within easy access of the A5603 and M602 motorway – a major route in to and out of the city, approximately half a mile to the north. This area of Manchester offers an enticing blend of art, the performing arts and nightlife with The Lowry. The Lowry is surrounded by the waters of the Manchester Canal and there are cafes, bars and a restaurant at the south-western end of the building.

The Lowry Outlet Mall contains outlet stores of well-known high-street businesses, including Cadbury’s, Marks & Spencer and Gap. The mall contains coffee shops and convenience food chains, and a multi-screen cinema operated by Vue. Outside the mall, a bar and several restaurants overlook the Lowry plaza.

Salford Central and Salford Crescent are the two main rail stations that serve the city. There are a further seven smaller stations on three main lines, these offer services to Wigan, Liverpool and beyond. A short journey to Manchester Piccadilly will connect you with the rest of the UK’s rail network. London is reachable in just over 2 hours.
